The Princess and the Pea
A young prince is looking to marry, but is having trouble finding a real princess to be his bride. One night, a girl knocks on his door and claims to be a princess. The prince’s mother decides to test the girl by offering her a bed piled high with mattresses, and with a single pea placed under all the bedding. She reasons that only a true princess would be disturbed by a tiny pea, so she and her son await morning in hopes that the girl has endured a sleepless night.
