NICOLA MORGAN Nicola Morgan's first novel is the totally compelling, first novel Mondays Are Red. The story is about a boy, Luke, who wakes up from a coma with a very rare illness called Synaesthesia. No one realises Luke has this illness and we accompany him as he tries to come to terms with the strange, dark world he now inhabits. Synaesthesia occurs when one sense is stimulated but experience occurs with one or more other sense at the same time, for example, a person hears a musical note and experiences a specific taste or smell or sees a specific colour.
